phplist has a very important security update.
phpBB’s official site is hacked because of this issue for weeks.
To upgrade phplist is simple.

BACKUP your database!
BACKUP your old config.php file, or optionally backup your whole PHPlist so you can rollback if something would go wrong.
Replace your old PHPlist with the new version.
Copy your configuration files to lists/config or [...]

Upgrade to WordPress 2.7 is easy.
The dashboard is totally different. It takes time to get familiar with it.
Anyway, it is a big version and big change from the back end.
PS. new version Simple Tag plugin works OK on WP 2.7

30 minutes to update Ubuntu 8.04LTS.
1.5 hours to upgrade Ubuntu from 8.04LTS to 8.10.
All done yesterday night.

The next version Ubuntu, v8.10 will be release tomorrow, Oct. 30 2008.
If you are using 8.04 (Hardy) then you can update directly to 8.10 (Intrepid). In other cases you should follow a sequential upgrade path and not skip any of the releases (unless you are on a LTS release).

This blog is upgraded to 2.6.3 last week manually.
Nothing changes. Only for security issue.

There’s a potentially important security issue in Wordpress versions prior to 2.6.2 that may allow malicious attackers to change (and even possibly capture!) the password for any user. Dreamhost one-click system has already been updated and we urge everyone to upgrade ASAP.
